The City of Brookings just received notice that it has been awarded a U.S. Department of Transportation Better Utilizing Investments to Leverage Development (BUILD) Grant for a 20th Street interchange.
According to Brookings’ City Manager Paul Briseno, the grant which awards the city with $18.7 million in infrastructure funding supports Brookings’ philosophy and goals. He says, “The award of the BUILD grant for the I29 Interchange project is an exciting investment in the Brookings community and region. Brookings is a community that encourages its members to bring their dreams – and, this announcement represents an achievement of a dream.
