City of Brookings Mission Statement

The City of Brookings is committed to providing a high quality of life for its citizens and fostering a diverse economic base through innovative thinking, strategic planning, and proactive, fiscally responsible municipal management.

City Council Meeting Schedule:
The Brookings City Council holds meetings on the second and fourth Tuesdays of the month with a work session at 5pm and regular council meeting at 6pm. Meetings are held at City Hall in the Council Chambers (311 3rd Ave.).

Work Sessions begin at 5pm and are open to the public. Work Sessions are the time for city staff to brief the council on items for that particular meeting, introduce future topics and provide a time for Council members to introduce topics.

Regular Meetings begin at 6pm and are open to the public.
