YOU ARE ELIGIBLE TO VOTE IN THE CITY OF BROOKINGS IF YOU ARE:
- Age 18 or older
on the next election day
- A citizen of the United States
- A resident
of the City of Brookings, South Dakota
- Not under a sentence of imprisonment
for a felony conviction
- Not be judged mentally incompetent by a court of law
VOTER REGISTRATION LOCATIONS:
- County Auditor's Office
- City Clerk's Office, City Hall
- Driver's License Station
- Public assistance agencies providing food stamps (TANF or WIC)
- Department of Human Services offices which provide assistance
to the disabled
- Military recruitment offices
- Go to the Secretary of State's website for a printable mail-in voter registration form
VOTER REGISTRATION DEADLINES:
- 15 days prior to any election
- Mail-in voter registration cards must be received by the County Auditor's Office 15 days prior to an election or postmarked 30 days prior to an election
