2020 Citizens First Responder Academy

On January 28, 2020 the Brookings Police Department will present the opening session for the Citizens' First Responder Academy. For 12 weeks, class attendees will receive information and instruction on the Brookings Police Department, Brookings Sheriff Office, University Police Department, Department of Criminal Investigations, Brookings Fire Department, Brookings Highway Patrol, Court Services, Probation, Parole and Brookings Emergency Medical Services. This program is not an accredited certification course.

The first class will be at the Brookings Police Department on January 28th. Classes are held every Tuesday evening (Two exceptions - Monday, March 2 and Monday, March 16) from 6:30 pm to 9:30 pm. The last class will be April 14, 2020. See the full schedule (PDF).
