Starting approximately Monday, April 13th, depending on weather, the contractor is planning to close 20th Street South from Cumberland Court to Western Avenue. This section of 20th Street South will be completely closed during construction and alternative detour routes will need to be used. Signs will be installed along the detour routes to alert traffic. See the map below for detour routes.
Crews will also install sidewalk along the south side of 20th Street South and complete seeding from the 2019 phase. All phases of the project are scheduled to be completed and reopened by October 2020 or earlier if the weather is favorable.

We would like to remind the public to be cautious when driving or walking through the project area, especially around work areas under construction. Questions may be directed to the Cory Mackendanz at 320-295-6967, project inspector, or the City Engineering Department at 605-692-6629. We appreciate everyone’s patience during the project and we are looking forward to the reconstructed 20th Street South roadway.
